I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family. In case you missed this last week or have not (for some inexplicable reason) been following the Citizen Lit podcast put out by the lovely Jim Warner & Aubrie Cox, get on it. They were kind enough to include a reading of my story “Yard Show,” which was originally published in The Minnesota Review last year. It’s a story dear to me as it started a path toward the novel I’ve been working on and avoiding in spurts for years. I started working on it again yesterday and hope I can get through a draft without shutting myself down. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude to be part of the conversation in any capacity, let alone alongside an interview with the great Marlon James. Cue feelings of inadequacy and impostor syndrome. Anyway, I hope you’ll give it a listen and subscribe to the podcast. Jim and Aubrie are a force to be reckoned with. You won’t regret it.
Love always. Happy reading & listening.
